im considering smoking ritalin.. what are the effects and onset/duration? also, is crushing it up and putting it in my pipe enough?

addition to above post:

i have concerta, focalin, and ritalin .. which is the most fun to smoke and how many mg's should i smoke .. also, i know these are for people with ADD, a chemical imbalance in the brain .. i dont have ADD, will taking these pills harm me psychologically?

im curios as to know if there is a way to smoke CONCERTA, i would try it, an post back and tell you what happened, but i dont know if i would crush it up then put it in my pipe, or just take the outer layer off and then smoke it.. i dont, if anyone happnes to know, please fill me in

someone i know crushes concerta up after taking the out layer off, puts it in his weed pipe, and smoked it. 5-10mg is all thats needed, i've heard.

Remember that these pills all have the inorgqanic salt derivative of the
drug in them. That means that they won't vaporize when heated. To
vaporize you need the free base. That means some alkali must be mixed
with the stuff. Household ammonia is the easiest. SWIM would suggest
soaking the stuff in ammonia; let it evaporate, and then try again.

When I was 16, many centuries ago, i snorted some Ritalin. The effect was sneezing over 20 times in a row (lost count after 20), followed by the nastiest case of congestion and a sore throat. It was identical to having a terrible head cold. That was the last time I did that stunt. Yek!

dont smoke it, crush it up real fine and sniff it or break the time
release coating on the pill by breaking it and take about 50mg and
enjoy... you;ll talk non stop and anything you do will be fun.
but be careful it really addicting

i agree with pcon , snorting should be close enough, what would one want from freebase ? just smoke crack(not really unless you hate your body and girls who are goin anywhere in life) but its just ritalin ,it doesnt have much euphoria to needed to be smoke ,plus not much tests on effects to your poor lungs.

tried smokin some out of the tip of a cigarette.....held it in for like 10 seconds, and felt a little lightheaded and dizzy. other than that, its not worth it in my opinion. look on threads for purifying it, that will probably give you a MUCH better experience.

SWIM used to smoke methylphenidate base ALL the time. Smoking it regularly will hurt your lungs something else though. Effects from sniffing and smoking are very different. The euphoria from smoking is instant an intense but doesn't last long at all.
