Swim has been ordering benzos from one of those online pharmacies where the online doc writes the script. It works well, swim says, they will give just about anything he wants (that they carry). On 2/16 he recieved 60 geeenstone 2 mg bars and thought, great this will last a while! Wrong, he only has 7 left now, I guess he overdid it a bit but he has a hell of a tolerance and wanted to enjoy them, so he used the shit out of them and now he is almost out. Now he finds out they cannot fill anothe xan script until 3/16 and he feels totally fucked. He can however get 60 valiums right now. Do you think the valium will be a worthy substitute for the xans until he can get some more xan? He knows there are differences in the drugs, but will the valium help calm the anxiety of being out of xans? Also he needs help with general and especially social anxiety to function well at work. He just wants to know if you learned individuals think that (if he can contol himself this time and use the meds more sparingly), they will help him overcome his social and general anxiety as well as the xans do?

my advice is to stop now. 53 bars in 8 days is a little more than 6 bars a day. most doctors will tell you that if you need more than 4 MG a day youre a benzodiazapine addict. If you(SWIY) cannot manage your pills the simplest and most logical solution is to stop taking them.

well beware, swim switched from daily xanax to daily valium only to have a rash of falling spells when switching back. SWIY might try ativan instead.

swim has been on many, many xan binges and it takes longer than 10 days to suffer those kinds of physical problems, the problem will be psychological since the doses were so high even in a short duration. Hopefully the valium will handle those issues for swim.
I always thought that it was illegal to purchase these types of medications online. Whether they are prescription pain killers or benzos, how can one get away with this? I mean, when this "online pharmacy" ships the drugs to SWIM's house, how does it go through, etc? It's mind boggling to myself. I'd rather just get my meds from my doctor for a legit reason.

Yes, diazepam is the same type of drug, so while it has differences, most notably differences in dosing and longer half life, it will certainly help someone who uses alprazolam regularly and/or is dependent on benzos to get through this time period. I believe most sources say the equivalence is 1mg alprazolam to 10mg diazepam, but be careful and it may take some playing around to find one's ideal dosage as again it is a different substance (but will have the same general effect and prevent breakthrough anxiety and benzo withdrawal)
