Rectal methylphenidate (ritalin) ?

Has anyswim ever tried administering their ritalin rectally? If not, Swim will be happy to try it, if given some pointers (i.e. recommended first time dose, swim is gonna assume 20 mg if nothing else).

20 mg is a good starting dose. Please report the experience, SWIL is very interested in this.

IR ritalin pills are highly soluble in water, SWIL would dissolve 20 mg in 10 ml of warm water, cotton filter (optional) and shove up SWIY's ass.

can you describe how to cotton filter well? swim tried it once and failed miserably... Got a LOT of gelatin.

Be careful with the dosage though, start low and work one's way up. SWIdr has tried rectal administration a lot of times, mostly with opiates and benzodiazepines, but he has never tried it with methylphenidate. Good luck!

It is just a procedure to remove insoluble material, it is necessary in case of IV administration but not if rectal-insufflated.

Just filter the solution using a cotton filter. A coffee filter will do too. The liquid with Methylphenidate HCl will pass through the filter and binders and non water soluble materials will not.

Yeah, swim meant how to do a decent cotton filter - last time swim tried he didn't get much of the gelatin out of those dastardly methylphenidate pills.

Use a coffee filter. It isn't really important in rectal ad. BTW what kind of ritalin is SWIY using?

it really amazes swim how no matter the medication there is always a thread on how to stick it up ur ass... but swim degresses.

swim believes this is not a great idea, since it is a stimulant one might shit it out before its fully absorbed... and what happened to the days when stickin shit up your nose was good enough?

I'm waiting for one on Nitrous Oxide.

There is no reason to worry about a cotton filter in this method. So SWIM need not go overboard. The rectum is a self-cleansing organ.

haha, yeah. swim was worried about the binders possibly tearing the lining up a bit... swim understands this is no problem?

Yes it should be fine to keep the binders and not go through the trouble of filtering them out. just think of all the other stuff that is up in SWIY's anal cavity, so binders will definatly not be a problem. Just be careful with SWIY's dosage, he should start from 1/3-1/2 his normal oral dose, and work his way up from there.

swim was debating 20 mg, was going to do it now but coming down / down from a multiple pill insufflation (were done at different times) so he is a bit leery of that. think its safe? or should swim do 10 mg instead?

Better be safe than sorry, although 20 mg it's a pretty safe dose, 10 will make SWIY to be more confident and "safe". Start with 10, if it's ok wait half an hour and do another 10. Don't do more than that the first time for SWIY's ass' sake
