I knew a couple that offed themselves on sleeping pills.
One of my first tweaking buddies shot himself rather than face 15-life for manufacturing and past offenses...He was a little guy, maybe he was scared he'd get hurt. We'd seen each other get bad, get low- I left town and next word I heard he was dead. Suicide. I've never believed God takes suicides to hell, thank goodness, or I'd still be mourning- 6 years later. I remember I tried to get him to use my phone to contact his family, but he wouldn't do it. He died on the opposite coast as his loved ones. He had just pretty much played bag bitch to one of our dealers, then they broke up. He killed himself right after. I still can't believe he's gone. I'm going to cry now- it's not always o.d.'s that kill drug addicts, he used his own hands.

I have had numerous friends die from od's. The last one took vicodin and drank beer, blew up his heart. Very sad. That is why it is very important to educate yourself, and keep moderation in mind. Sometimes a good time turns into a nightmare.
Before anyone puts anything into their body, research, learn as much as you can about it, and start slowly. No sense in going to the ultimate dose right out the shute. Better safe than, well, dead.

I have also lost quite a few people to OD'ing. The last person who did OD'd on heroin. They found him lying in his dorm room with the needle still in his arm.
OneDiaDem is right, education is the key.
the night before i did shrooms i was on erowid reading for hours. whenever im trying somehting new i read about it ,and ive read about most of the things on erowid already anyways. Learning is fun because knowledge is power!

Yep. The last OD i can remember, My friend Jacob and I had just each eaten an 8th of shrooms. He started freaking out because this girl he liked was throwing a party, so he decided to drink some brandy to "sober" up from the shrooms and drive to madera. I tried to convince him over and over what a bad idea it was to drink after we had just eaten so many shrooms..but I just couldent. And the sad part is, I drank too. He drank alot more than I did, but I had 3 shots. We got in the car, and I couldent believe what we were doing. Thank whoever, that he threw up before we took off, and he parents called him an ablence..And it was over right after they got there.
Freaked me out..

i guess i nearly od-ied on alcohol when i drank 2 bottles of very fine scotch. That was really scary. But i dont know of anyone oding but i know about people that never came back from acid. Those people, some friends i had, are probably sitting at home now watching plants grow or bouncing off padded rooms. That is a reason 2 me not to do hard drugs. The risks are 2 big i find because i know what you get when you by them on the streets. I made them myself some time a go.
i dont know anyone close who ever died from od'ing but i have had 2 friends and my cousin die in drug deals that went wrong, i probably almost od'd on 2c-i i took about 140mg and had no food or liquid in me so it hit really hard. I was also in some deals that went wrong where i got pistol whipped like 4 tymes before droppin then got stomped out by 10 people, and the one before that i got shot at and a bullet actually braised my ribs on the heart side. really lucky i had buddah on my side or i woulda been ashes now.

Had a family member who killed themself after doing drugs to much. I cant think of anyone who has ODed though.
I don't know anyone, but probably 90%+ of cases I've heard of involved polydrug usage... i.e. more than one drug at a time, often more than 3 or 4 drugs at once. People don't realize that a lot of this shit in combination can be deadly.

I know of a few, but only one I knew from closeby, I guy who took approximately 100 mg's of methadon, together with some other medicines. It kind of was an accident, he didnt know alot about the dosage I think. He died while in the same irc channel as I was, saw him there alot. The last thing he said after people told him 100 mg's was too much was: " I'm fucking hardcore ". He never typed anything else. People who knew his address triedto call an ambulance but it was too late..

i had a friend go on the first of the month from dope. stupid thing was it was his 2nd timne the first time was like 2 months before and they brought him back.. sad shit.
My very good friend died last week from a OD on Heroin. He was a recovering addict and he just gotten engaged to a nice young woman he really loved. He has been off the H for a long time, but last tuesday he gotten into a fight with his fiance' and left there apartment, i guess he got himself a bag, thought he can take as much as he used to, and the next morning he was not with us anylonger. We just buried him today......
He is the only one i know who died from a OD......

Are you talking about the OD that happened on Shroomery IRC? Sad part about that one was it put a major frown on peoples faces in the OMC. IRC chat splashed all over the news. I didnt know him personally, but it was sad that such a young person would take such a risk. My opinion, he wanted to die. You cannot take that much and live thru it. Incidents like this one is what keeps us from legalizing any form of natural drug.

I used to use the expression "Live like a rock star, die like a rock star. It doesn't sound as cool anymore. This thread is a good reminder to all, that we are not invincible. Handle with care, I suppose.
I've lost 2 friends, one to speedballz and the other to H. be careful mixing friends, know your limit.

2day I heard 2 of my oldest friends got shot in Columbia. Something went wrong, i still dont know what....
Im really worried this means their is going 2 be a turning of the tide. Lots of my friends are in this little enterprise, they all work together. Im afraid that these arent the 1ste people im going 2 loose 2 drugs

i dont really know if i OD'd or not but i took 5 vicodins and 5 klonopins at the same time....i dont remember that night or the next few days, my friends had to tell me what all happened. also my brothers friend just died the other day, i am not sure what he was on, it was either heroin or oxycontin, he shot it up, passed out, threw up in his sleep and got stomach acid in his lungs. R.I.P.
A friend of mine took 3 Oxycontin (80mgs each) and snortedsome heroine. It was really screwed up because his mom found him. He was in his old room, sitting straight up in a chair with his eyes still open in front of a desk. She also found a mirror,pill bottle,balloon and some other stuff. Man.......
Actually my grandmother committed suicide by eating a lot of pills, don't know what sort though. She had parkinsons and had lived a very hard life, with alot of domestic abuse and alcohol, so I guess I can understand her decision. R.I.P.
I've lost 3 friends by OD. It's strange...one day everything is nice and glad....the next day I'm sad...they are not here anymore. Two of them died a heartattack after they used to many coke.

just recently a very good friend of mine commited suicide. his parents found out he smoked weed and wanted to send him to boarding school. took a rifle to his head. maybe if people didnt make such a big deal about shit. his grades were all a's and he was on an all star soccer team. if that was me my parents would have been buying me weed.

i od'd and ended up in the icu...... they said i would have died in 20 minutes had i not been found. also i was raped during this timeand contracted hiv. i was 16 at the time. and this was just a year ago.fun fun fun.

a coupl of people have died near me. one was a mixture of ecstacy,ghb, ket, valium. he just fell asleep and never woke up. another got dragged out of a big clubbing event. not sure how but therewas arumour about that it was ghb and 1 that he banged his head so dont know about that one
I had an uncle die about 10 years ago from a night of heavy drinking.
He passed out on his back in the living room of his house on the sofa.
In the middle of the night he threw up while still sleeping, and ended
up suffocating on his own vomit. Very sad...

this isn't really an OD story, but it is death caused by drugs pretty much.
my 19 year-old female cousin was seriously addicted to crystal meth, worst case i have ever seen (i have seen alot). she needed it to function, to stay awake, everything, to live really. of course she could not support her very expensive habbit....
breaking and entering, grand theft auto, bank fraud, prostitution. those are just to name i few. she lived over in British Colombia, and i'm over here in Ontario, but there was so much more i could have and should have done. she was living on the streets, and would occasionally return home when her parents where out to steal some things from her house. i even wish she had been caught by the police, instead of winding up being found dead. not from OD, murder. god damn it hurts.

I left a party cuz it was getting way to loud in a little ass apartment to go home and smoke a joint and go to sleep. The next day my friend called up crying his girlfriend drank to much and choked on her vomit in his room while everyone else was outside playing drinking games. She was real cool too. she was 16. RIP kid.

I had a friend who tooktoo manyvicoden's and valium's, went to sleep, and never woke up again. It was very sad and I now treat perscription drugs with a lot more respect.
SWIM has oded on adderral and ritalin and had alcohol poisoning many times, and have had many friends od and not die and a few that have oded and died tha most recent was Jordan (R.I.P.) he ate 11 xanax bars and had a low tolerance, then my 3 buddies oded on GHB @ school in high school one died on the operation table but they revived him... so just be careful everyone!!
last year i lost two close friends to herion. RIP Linda and Bill....ive allmost died a few times i gess when you quit breathing turn blue and cold your allmost dead fortunately my g-friend had seen me preform CPR on other people.heroin is my DOC.you just got to be careful and never do it alone
Yea i've od'ed on alchie before...
I got out of work at 9pm and went straight to a party with a friend of
mine. we got to the party at 9:30 and as soon as i walked in a
saw a boy of mine, and he asked if i wanted some Vodka
(popof(spelling?)) so i said sure... went to the girls cabinent where
the party was at got an 8oz juice glass he filled it to the top gave me
a beer and i drank the vodka and then the beer. Everything was
good
Went outside called my parents said i'd be home much later and i'd talk
to them the next day, went back upstairs and he was there again, this
time i had a free "shot" (first one was like 3$ i gave him) so i had a
"shot" same 8oz glass and another beer, i only remember the vodka
touching my lips, next thing i know a girl has me by my hair slamming
my face into the toilet.
Finally she lets go of my head, i smoke my face into a corrner of a
scale (a floor one in a bathroom), from about 4ft up GREAT feeling let
me tell you. About an hr. later i was thrown in the shower at the
party because i couldnt puke and they wanted to sober me up, well the
cold shower trick didnt work... So my neighbor did what she had to do
and took me home.
Next thing i remember is about an hr later i'm in my downstairs
bathroom puking an cryin my eyes out, well it turns out i was
downstairs dry heaving for the next 3 hrs. I only remember about
15 minutes of it. Next thing i remember i'm in the shower
upstairs butt ass naked with my mom smacking me telling me to breath.
Now take a second, butt ass naked infront of YOUR MOM! sorry but i'm
set with that shit, so i started to cry again and my mom and dad left
me in there for about 10 minutes and set up a bed in their room... my
mom watched over my head for the next 3hrs until 5am because of my few
seconds i stopped breathing in the shower.
If mom and dad wernt both DR's i woulda been at the hospital and i
still dont drink vodka to this day, it has been about 4 years now too.

Two weeks ago I was a guest dj at a party and sinse I was vipI got free alcohol(plus my friend owns the club). Anyways,after my set,I had a 1.75L bottle of vodka. I don't remember much but the next morning I woke up and the bottle was empty right next to me. I felt kind of proud of myself cuz I had never drank that much befor and I didn't vomit. But as I was walking to the subway I started to throw up and it was full of blood. I spent the rest of the day in pain, it felt like I had been shanked in the gut.
Also, I have lost many friends to od's, But the most memorable one was back in 99'. My friend Jason and I each took 8 drops of acid and decided to go on an adventure(our usual entertainment while trippin). We were about 3 hours into our trip and we were riding our skateboards. There was a skatepark on top of a hill in our city and whenever we left it, we would ride down the hill towards the cross street. He went first and I was right behind him, but as we reached the bottom he wasn't paying attention to the traffic, only staring at the ground. I yelled to him to look out and he looked at me (right into my eyes) and got hit by a cement truck. I'm so sorry for all your losses. I haven't lost anyone to an OD, and I
hope I never do. I'm very emotionally attatched to my friends; I don't
know how I could cope, but from what I see you all seem to be doing
fine (considering)...

I had a close friend die from 6 xanax, a crushed up 80 mg oxycontin, who knows how much alcohol and whatevr else he migh have took. I heard he would have lived if he didnt crush up the oxycontin,(crushed 80 mg has killed a young woman on its own let alone mixed)

Damn this shit sucks i have lost no one to od's but have been around many many many people who have od'ed but there was me or someone else who was around to help them out and shit i have od'ed 2 times once on dope and another on dxm i swear i cheated death on dxm scares me to this day when you look at yourself from an out of body experience lying on a floor throwing up its fucked up i missed caluclated how much i could take i thought i could take double what i did but the next day in my right mind i recaulclated and it was a deadly dose i took jus becarfuel lil homies out there peace out.
