hair test! probably today!

Hey all, I've got a dilemma here.


I'm gonna have my hair drug tested soon and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way I can detoxify my hair. I've seen tons of products for sale that claim to do the job but I simply don't trust them and don't want to get ripped off.


Are there any "home remedies" that I can use to clean my hair? I'm pretty desparate here, it's CRUCIAL that I pass this test.


Please help!!!!!!

i have heard of only a few products (shampoos) that will let you pass a hair test. they can detect the use of a drug within 90 days of use. if its crucial that you pass the test i would go ahead and buy one of those shampoos to try it out, i mean all u have to loose is like 15 bux.

Which drugs have you used, how long ago, and how much? Is this test run by a large school or corporation?

Hair folicle test (from what I hear) is pretty accurate.

You might consider a radical full body hair removal.
Other than that, i don't know how you can get out of it.

Hair is If you attempt to clean it the cleaning agent itself might be detected, but I suppose that is a risk you're willing to take.

Toxins are circulated throughout the body via the blood stream and absorbed by the hair through the environment. Wet hair, and hair treated with styling gel are especially susceptible to environmental contamination (second hand smoke). When toxins are ingested the blood feeds the hair while it is in the growth stage. As the hair is formed the toxins are trapped inside the hair follicle. During the drug test procedure, a hair sample is clipped from the back of the head near the scalp by the examiner. Once sent to a laboratory the hair is dissolved with organic solvents. Once in a liquid solution, the toxins are freed from within the hair follicle. An extraction is performed on the liquid and drug toxins are removed. Once the drug metabolites are isolated a GC/MS is performed just like with urinalysis testing.

You need something that will coat your hair, like a conditioner does. When the examiner removes the hair sample the shampoo bound to the hair goes with it. Once the hair is dissolved, the residual left by the shampoo is free to interact with the drug metabolites, which had been trapped in the hair follicle, making the toxins undetectable by the drug test. A few products offer to "open the pores and release the toxins", but I wouldn't bet on it. Get the coating shampoo.

Beating the hair test is extremely hard, and there are false positives.
Bleaching or dying your hair is rumored to work, but it doesn't. I imagine
you can shave every hair on your body and claim that you're a swimmer.
According to NORML, Aloe Rid by Nexus is a shampoo that will aid in testing
negative. Aloe Rid is available only in salons. Healthy Hair, from Sampson
Health Products, is another shampoo designed to beat the hair test.

I have personally checked this site out. They do offer product that is supposedly guarranteed to clear up a hair follicle test. If you want to order, you still have time if you pay for overnight delivery. They have phone numbers for orders, questions, and even a drug-test refund line. (If you fail, they offer a refund)
Read: I have never used these products myself... I don't know if they work. You should (QUICKLY) check this out by yourself. Let us know what you think.
P.S. May I ask who the testing jerk(s) represent??? Are they cops or your 'rents, or is it for a job?
I was in and out of trouble a few years back- and I hated those drug tests so much I got clean for 1 1/2 years to get off probation. So I feel for you, good luck.

swim's been all over the web for the last week and a half (since swim and out that he was gonna have to take a hair test) looking for anything and everything that may save his ass. unfortunately he found these forums only last night. one of the things he read in these forums was was something about using a shampoo to try and "coat" the follicle rather than "clean" it. then i remembered seeing something else somewhere else about how you can't destroy/remove the metabolites/toxins without destroying the follicle, therefore (according to wherever he saw that at) the only way to pass a hair was to use a "coating" shampoo. any help would be great.
btw, swim's concern is with the amphetamine test in particular, and he has been a pretty regular user up until 12 hours ago.

Basically what you should have done is ordered one of those 50 bagillion shampoos that pop up when you google drug test +hair. It might have been in your mailbox by now. I mean if you havent found a free home made recipe for this by now either your search capabilities need some work or there simply isnt a reliable sure fire home-made way to beat hair tests out there. Im not trying to be a prick, but thats what i would have done. I mean you must either have a really good job or are in the military. Students and minimum wagers dont get hair tests, they get piss tests. You should have been able to afford one of these follicle fixers. If anyone here knew a way im sure they would post. I figure you wouldnt have to go so far as the bag. Just shave the head like Russell Crowe in Romper Stomper and show up blaring skrewdriver out of a car while talking about your new docs. Save the fancy shampoo for the bag...I mean we could all use a good scrubbing in that department. Do the follicle tests really go for other bodily hairs if you have your head shaved? I guess they'd have to, but it sounds pretty invasive. Anyway your job doesnt have to be that great to get a follicle test, I think Blockbuster Video does those for hiring unless I'm mistaken.

Hair folicle tests are pretty accurate from what I have read and I doubt that shampoo will help any. The hair folicle serves as a time line and can pinpoint at what point in your life you used any given drug, except cocaine, which can be present at any point in the hair sample.

BlockBuster eh? Well they got money so they can afford the hair tests which are more expensive than piss tests. More expensive because they are more accurate. Some companies wait until the piss comes back negative before they go to hair, blood or saliva, just to be sure. It all depends on the company. Military likes hair tests like i said. I was just blabbing on trying to generate interest in his thread, his question was out there for like 4 or 5 hours.
But you think the shampoos are bunk kemi? I dont know myself, but there seems to be enough of them out there. Anyone here actually get a hair test before? Anyone try one of these shampoos? Im all interested now.

From what I have heard, which has been a pretty split concensus, the shampoo is not worth it as it is very touchy when it comes to directions. The two people that I know that have claimed it absolutely worked, followed the directions to a "T".

The other two people I know that had to take it for a banking job dealing with large sums of money and both were daily pot smokers and I highly doubt they really followed instructions like they claimed. FYI, they didn't get the job, neither of them, and they didn't land any more security jobs at that particular outsource company.

The one thing to remember, the shampoo must have the ability to penetrate the hair folicle and clean from the inside out. This has never sounded possible to me, but who am I, surely no one who sells or manufactures hair products. Shit, I wash my hair with urine. The easiest way to make sure it's squeeky clean and you never have to pay a penny for "sham poo".

Just remember, real men use piss. ;)

From BA's post here in the forum, it says that the shampoos that 'coat' the follicle are the best. Once the hair is dissolved in whatever solvent the test uses the coating deteriorates the drug metabolites rendering the test negative. That post was from 2004 though.
Now im gonna ask. Are you washing your hair with your own urine? Shampoo is cheap.

Oh yea, when I shower with my fiancee, I pee on her, but I can't control that. She's not offended either, so dont be for her. She just looks at me with this, youdiditagainyouasshole look and says, your peeing on me. I always act surprised, "OH BABY! I AM SO SORRY! WOULDJA LOOK AT THIS, ITS LIKE I CAN'T CONTROL IT BABE!"

well thanks for all the responses guys!! seriously! even if alot were less than as helpful as i had been hoping for. here's an update on my situation if anyone is interested to hear it:
a co-worker of mine had to do his hair test last wednesday 3/29/06. apparently he came back a negative because he hasn't heard anything back from the higher-ups so far. he used a shampoo product that he found on the web for $130. so i bought some of the same stuff and will be having my hair snipped on monday. i'll definately let you know how it turns out.

Does anyone know the threshold for a hair test? SWIM has smoked marijuana once, a single hit in the past month. Before that, he hadn't smoked for six months. He has heard that the threshold for marijuana on a hair test is a little high, and allows for this sort of thing. Additionally, are you sure Aloe Rid is only sold at salons, will that sort of treatment be necessary in order for a negative result?
