1. Incrimination - don't do it! Writing about drug use in the first person ("I did...", "I have...", etc) is against the Rules. Incriminating posts will be either deleted or returned to the poster for editing & resubmission (if I'm feeling nice I may do it myself, but don't count on it!). This also includes incriminating others - do not talk about real people taking drugs unless in the context of a verifiable press reported story; Mickey Mouse can do what he likes, Mickey Rourke could bring a law suit if libelled. Get the drift here? Good! Also, please try to be a little more imaginative than "SWiM did...", etc.
   
2. Pill Identification - Pill Id threads will be closed. Games of guess the compound are at best futile, at worst misleading, confusing & possibly dangerous. There are various sites out there that deal with this, & a simple web search will bring them up easily. If one of these sites is going to be referenced, please check that it does not contain a forum, or is an offshoot of a forum. Reagent testing kits are readily available at relatively little cost online & at many headshops - whilst only in-depth chemical analysis will tell you the exact compounds & quantities in a pill, a reagent kit will give the tester a reasonable idea of what they are taking.
3. Chemistry Questions - belong in the Drug related chemistry and extraction forum. All chemistry related questions will be deleted or moved to that forum.
4. Old Threads- Please do not resurrect old threads just to write "Me too" or "You should do this" type replies. If good information can be added or is contained in the thread, then great, if the thread is funny, then fair enough. Otherwise, let the old dog lie. Please also bear in mind that before May 2005 the forum was a lot less strict on the subject of self-incrimination. What I'm saying is please check the dates before replying to old threads.
5. Other fora - please do not reference other fora by name. If information is to be used that was found on another forum, then use the Quote button, credit the author & state simply "Found on another Forum". This includes pill testing sites - please check thoroughly for forum links.
6. The Search Engine - please use it before starting a new thread
7. Prefixes - likewise, where possible please add a prefix from the drop down when starting a new thread. It makes searching easier. Scroll down to the bottom of the main page in any sub-forum & you will see Display options with a prefix drop-down - this may also make searching for your answer easier, especially as I work through the forum adding more prefixes (bear with me on this one!).
8. Slang & Abbreviations - please avoid using slang & abbreviations wherever possible, & especially in thread titles. Obviously when it comes to chemical names it would be unreasonable to expect the full name of MDMA, for example, to used each time, but using X or XTC for Ecstasy is not only lazy but will also make indexing by search engines harder, meaning less accessibility to the information. It takes a fraction of a second longer to type the full word, & if spelling is a problem, take the time to add it to you spellchecker's dictionary. If slang is going to be used please provide an explanation of what is meant by it. Likewise technical or obscure medical terms & abbreviations.
9. Thread Titles - should be as descriptive as possible, giving a good idea of the content of the thread.
10. Research - should be used wherever possible. There is a more than respectable amount of articles in the File Archive that will provide back-up for claims, & further articles are always welcome.
11. Dangerous advice - will not be tolerated.
12. Keep It Respectful - this really shouldn't have to be said, but please have respect for one another. We can't always agree on everything, & people are allowed their opinions. However, when the stating of that opinion in the face of reasonable advice & experience becomes persistent it borders on the realms of Trolling. Please Don't Feed The Troll!
13. Location Threads - topics regarding quality or availability in a given location will be closed to avoid Source discussion or disclosure in either thread or Private Message.
14. Smuggling Threads - will likewise be closed.Possession & use of a Controlled Substance is one thing, but we will not give advice on trafficking, be it for personal amounts or for distribution.

That's all for now folks, apart from to say please familiarise your Self with The Rules, & use a bit of common sense when posting. Consistently not following these guidelines, as well as the Rules in general, will lead to negative reputation & possibly warnings or worse.
